Working as a team

Angelique Syn Thia II I have this boss b4; whenever the 3rd week of the month when he sees tht the sales are low n cant meet target for that month already, he will inter challenge us. If we can hit the target he will treat us to a feast on his own acct. Amazingly always e targets r met. Bcause we challenge him; he likes to say, haha, u all cant meet e target one lah.

Angelique Syn Thia II That is how e team look into things. When most ppl hear tht from their boss; targets are not met because they are reluctant to fight in the friendly match. Many will say: Boss says cant hit one mah, so dont hit lor. No need to work so hard to hit lor.

Angelique Syn Thia II Our team in e past look at it in a different way; tht is how we met e targets with lotz of fun instead of stress. The secretary n me, e marcom person also excited about the sales figures. We always asked e sales manager, can ar? This month can meet ar? The sales manager will always announce loudly in e office with how many days n how much yet to meet. Meeting sales targets are stressful but it seems like fun to us. Non of the sales person there paid by commision. They based on a not so amazing basic salary.

Angelique Syn Thia II One thing everyone whom leads shld believes in for e sales n marketing team is not abt how many tasks ur staffs has in hand. It is abt how much sales have they drives in together. S&M is a very special team. It wont works when e team always thinks abt what belongs to who. The focus is only one- sales figures.
